Terras Persia Seismic Services (TPS)

This company provides seismic survey services to the industry.  At this time it (September, 2005) is approximately 50% through a 2D seismic program totaling some 2400km in the south of Iran. This work is being done with one seismic crew, however an investment decision has just been finalised to invest in equipment and logistic support services to equip a second crew.  This second crew is expected to be operational in the coming six months. 

Future growth prospects for the company will come from the investment in 3D seismic capability. 

Although only operational for some two years now, TPS has been highly successful in the work it has performed; highlights include completion of the highest altitude seismic ever performed in Iran (at an elevation of some 3,200 meters asl), and the award by NIOC some six months back (April 2005) of 'Seismic Contractor of the Year'.

The ongoing demand for seismic services in Iran means the prospects for TPS are particularly good.
